HIGHLAND GAMES NEAR SHENVAL ORGANIC B&B IN SCOTLAND
A mere 7 miles (12kms) from your holiday accommodation base at Shenval organic Bed and Breakfast, the village of Drumnadrochit, on the shores of Loch Ness will play host to the Glenurquhart Highland Gathering and Games, on Saturday 28th August, at Blairbeg Park.
Putting the Shott, Throwing the Hammer, Throwing 28lb Weight - Distance, Weight Over Bar, Tossing the Caber, Tug of War, Hill Race, Piping with both Traditional Pipe Band and Piping competition, Highland Dancing Display, Field and track events, Cycling including De'il Tak the Hindmost...

The Glenurquhart Highland Gathering and Games are not by any means the only Highland Gatherings and Games easily accessible from Shenval organic Bed & Breakfast, near Loch Ness. Some of the smaller events even have you join in if you -adults and children- feel brave enough or want to have a bit of fun!

Traditional Highland games with heavy, track and field events, hill race, children’s races, tug o’ war, Highland dancing and the Lochaber pipe band. With children’s mini games, pet dog show, trade stalls and attractions. Saturday 10th, FORRES Highland Games, Grant Park, Forres. From 12.00 till 17.30. The biggest Highland games in the North of Scotland returns to its historic home in the heart of Inverness. The games begin as the chieftain’s barge is welcomed to Lochinver by the pipe band.
